I miss Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. He was a favorite of mine during his service as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. His messages were always uplifting and timely. Given recent events I was reminded of one my favorite Elder Wirthlin General Conference talks. It's entitled, "The Virtue of Kindness." I will make no other comment, just to say I hope it will be read, applied, and followed. The longer I live the more I want to be certain this is a virtue I possess. I confess I have not always been kind. Those who know me are well aware of my shortcomings, and my easiness to be provoked. I hope someday to possess true charity and to truly possess the virtue of kindness.
